Newsweek is seeking a Reporter as part of a Live News team. This team will leverage the opportunities presented by advancements in artificial intelligence and other tools to produce journalism to a high standard.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing multiple stories a day across several beats and topics, using AI tools to assist in the production of these stories. They will pitch and be assigned multiple stories daily. They will obtain source and expert comments, and use authoritative primary sources. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality coverage that is accurate, fair, and conforms to accepted standards of journalism. They will meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment, including breaking news.
Topics being covered may include, but are not limited to: U.S. politics; U.S. social affairs; crime; international current affairs; celebrities and reality TV; consumer affairs.
Knowledge of AI tools, such as large language models, and digital publishing platforms is desirable.
This is a full-time role, 5 days a week, and may include occasional weekend working depending on the needs of the company.
Place of work: Our office is based in New York but you will have the ability to work from home anywhere in the U.S.
